I spent the past two days in Stradbally, Laois, at Electric Picnic. It was my first time there and it was an experience and a half. I had such a great time!
On the Saturday I made it to Ellie Goulding, Two Door Cinema Club, Little Green Cars, and David O'Doherty. Got a little bit drunk and ended up sitting in a tent in the very chilled Body and Soul area for a good few hours, which actually ended up being one of the highlights of my weekend.
On Sunday I was a bit poorly, I wandered around with my sister, took in some of the arts and crafts, wandered around the trailer park, made a leopard print bow tie and managed to make it to Dublin Gospel Choir, who sang Oh Happy Day from Sister Act 2 - definitely brightened my morning!
I spent what felt like three days queuing to charge my phone, ate some very excellent Falafel, and got up the front of main stage for Kodaline and Eels. Eels wore pretty spectacular matching adidas tracksuits, they were fantastic!
I had to make the heart breaking decision between Dylan Moran and The 1975, but the promise of hearing Chocolate live drove me to the latter and I'm so glad I did - they were so great!
It was a very trippy, surreal site, with a lot of facepaint and interesting smells... I loved every second of it! Festivals are the best.
