Let's pretend we're on Fashion Police EPISODE #1

In case you didn't know, (that's a nice rock you live under btw!!) the 85th Academy Awards took place on Sunday night and even though I didn't watch them - due to timezones and work/essays :( - I did of course catch up on all the happenings. I will confess to being celebrity OBSESSED and as well as loving fashion, movies and good looking people in general, I think it's safe to say awards season is one my favorite times of year. So here is my run-down on the 2013 Oscars AKA the most important highlights. 

EDDIE REDMAYNE IN ALEXANDER MCQUEEN YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME I DIDN'T THINK HE COULD GET ANY HOTTER BUT LOOK AT HIM IN A TUX HE DID AND I DIED A LITTLE 

One of my favorite dresses was this stunning gold beaded Zuhair Murad dress worn by Catherine Zeta Jones. She looked perfect, don't even talk to me about the flawlessness that is her hair. I haven't seen many people comment on this outfit, but for me it really stood out. There were so many actresses in plain and pale dresses but I think this was just so gorgeous and perfect for the event!

Another of my favorites was Amy Adams' Oscar De La Renta gown. It's so nice when the nominees do something I little bit more brave and I loved this! The ruffled skirt made it so much fun, and I think it matched her personality so well - she's such a cutie!

But the star of the night was of course, my ultimate girlcrush Jennifer Lawrence. Not only did she look gorgeous in her Dior dress, but she shone on the carpet being her amazingly funny and beautiful self. 

My favorite pictures of the night are the ones of her below. IMAGINE FALLING AT THE OSCARS!! My heart goes out to her, but she was ever graceful and hilarious - and I mean, I would not complain if Bradley Cooper ran to help me up, to be fair. But I love how pretty she looks, the shape of the body and the anguish and embarrasment in this image makes it almost iconic and it looks like a still from a movie or an old oil painting. She even falls beautifully. 

I'm going to end this post with another favorite moment of mine. Caught by photographers giving the finger, you can see the panic after she realizes what the public will be seeing across papers in the morning. I just love how normal she is!!
